Intern in Public Policy - The Koch Summer Fellow Program |
Through the state policy track co-sponsored with the State Policy Network, you can bring market solutions to the state level. Learn how to develop effective campaign strategies and mobilize supporters. Publish editorials or letters in state or local papers. Choose from organizations in one of more than 34 states such as the Texas Public Policy Foundation, Goldwater Institute, and Mackinac Center for Public Policy.
The fellowship begins with a one-week policy and career skills seminar to provide the knowledge needed to excel in a policy internship. You’ll work for eight weeks at a state or federal policy organization and participate in weekly policy lectures. The internship concludes with a closing seminar to present group research projects.
"A first-class program geared to those who seek challenge."
- Timothy Doyle, University of Toronto
"...the program was wonderful. It was professional and it was a great collection of people. I felt like I learned the most from hearing the opinions of my peers."
- Justin Hauke, University of Texas
The intensive ten-week program begins in June and includes a $1,500 stipend and a housing allowance.
Deadline: January 31, 2010
